Welcome to Arrest Stories. A nineteen-year-old Wisconsin man was arrested after allegedly beating an eighty-one-year-old driver following a road rage incident that began over slow driving. Here's what may have happened.
On October twenty-eighth, Oliver Maarten McSorley was traveling eastbound on Golf Road in Pewaukee when he began aggressively tailgating an eighty-one-year-old driver. According to police reports, the elderly victim intentionally slowed down in response to McSorley's tailgating behavior.
The situation escalated when McSorley sped up, aggressively passed the older driver, and abruptly cut back in front of him near the intersection of Main Street and College Avenue. When both vehicles reached a traffic light, the eighty-one-year-old driver inched his truck closer until he briefly tapped the bumper of McSorley's vehicle.
Both men then pulled over to the side of the road and exited their cars. An argument ensued between the two drivers before the confrontation turned violent. According to witness accounts, McSorley began repeatedly punching the elderly man, causing numerous injuries.
Two witnesses observed the incident unfold, with one calling nine-one-one for emergency assistance. Police reports indicate that one witness described McSorley as trying to punch the older man into the ground and was aggressively punching him. The witness expressed concern that the younger man may mortally injure the older man.
Following his arrest at the Pewaukee Police Department, McSorley allegedly made several threatening statements. He reportedly told authorities, "I should have beaten the expletive out of him. He is lucky he only has a concussion. I could have literally beaten him to an inch of his life."
Court records also reveal that McSorley had received a traffic citation in March of twenty twenty-five for driving over one hundred miles per hour, indicating a pattern of aggressive driving behavior.
All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
