FORMER MLB STAR LENNY DYKSTRA ARRESTED FOR ONE BIZARRE NEW YEARS DISCOVERY

Welcome to Arrest Stories. Former Major League Baseball player Lenny Dykstra faces drug possession charges after Pennsylvania State Police found narcotics and paraphernalia in his possession during a New Year's Day traffic stop. Here's what may have happened.

On January first, twenty twenty five, Pennsylvania State Police conducted a traffic stop along Route Five Zero Seven in Greene Township, approximately twenty five miles east of Scranton. A trooper with the Blooming Grove patrol unit pulled over a twenty fifteen GMC Sierra for alleged motor vehicle code violations.

Sixty two year old Lenny Dykstra, a retired Major League Baseball player, was riding as a passenger in the vehicle. According to police reports, during the investigation of the traffic stop, the trooper discovered that Dykstra was in possession of narcotics and narcotic related equipment and paraphernalia. Police have not specified what type of drugs were allegedly involved in the incident.

The driver and owner of the GMC Sierra was taken into custody at the scene under suspicion of driving under the influence. According to Dykstra's legal representative, the vehicle did not belong to the former baseball player.

Pennsylvania State Police issued a statement saying charges would be filed against Dykstra for the alleged drug possession. The statement read, "During this investigation, the passenger was found to be in possession of narcotics and narcotic related equipment slash paraphernalia. Charges to be filed."

Dykstra's attorney responded to the charges, stating "Lenny Dykstra was merely a passenger in a vehicle that did not belong to him. Undeniably, the actual driver and owner was taken into custody at the scene under the suspicion of driving under the influence. Lenny was not accused of being under the influence of any substance at the scene, nor was he arrested or taken into custody at the scene. To the extent charges are brought against him, they will be swiftly absolved."

The attorney emphasized that Dykstra was not accused of being under the influence and was not arrested at the scene.

All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
